The older children all love an activity after school. “Emily, what’s our activity today?” they ask me.
Recently they have been loving decorating all manner of keyrings to take home. They’ve enjoyed an eclectic mix of ocean life, hairy heads(!), aliens and hearts. Aren’t they fun?
Spring is a busy season here at Aston Childcare with lot’s of holidays and celebrations to enjoy and explore. First up, Mother’s Day…
I particularly loved the “All about My Mum” Story Wheels which gave me a lovely insight in to what the children love about their Mums best!
Over the Summer, the children had great fun with these fantastic fish puppet kits by Baker Ross and loved taking their completed fish puppets home.
If there’s one (or three!) things my mindees always love it’s glitter, glue and sequins! With this activity they were able to indulge their love of all three. We have done these fantastic cardboard wreaths before but this time they were star shaped!
This time round it was turn of two 2 year olds I look after. Didn’t they do well?!
Back in February, the children put their fine motor skills to good use handling and sticking sequins to decorate these fantastic crowns.
Back in February at the start of the year we enjoyed some lovely heart themed activities using playdough and paint for Valentines Day.
The children enjoyed creating their own fabric flags back in July with great results.
